It’s officially autumn, and we can already smell the pumpkin spice and hear the sound of leaves crunching under our boots. There are so many ways to enjoy this colourful season in Ontario, and you won’t even have to get out of your car to experience the magic. Throw on your coziest sweater and get behind the wheel because these postcard-worthy autumn road trips are calling your name.

1,000 Islands Parkway

It doesn’t get more picturesque than this! This 40 km route begins rights off of Highway 401 in Gananoque and takes you along the St. Lawrence River. There’s even a 4,500 ft suspension bridge that takes you right to the U.S. Wellesley Island, with gorgeous views along the way.

To experience autumn at its finest, you’ll want to go here. The drive to the park alone is enough to take your breath away, and it only becomes more beautiful once you enter the grounds. Niagara Parkway

This driving route hugs the expansive Niagara River and you’ll want to slow down and take it all in.
