Starting her career in tourism and hospitality, Kathleen worked with luxury brands, including Fairmont Hotels and Resorts and Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment. Her career start defined her customer-centric mindset, Kathleen always puts the client experience first. In 2016 she launched a consulting business where she developed brand strategies in a wide variety of industries including corporate governance, real estate, finance, and HR. Joining Gifford Carr in the fall of 2020, Kathleen dove headfirst into the world of insurance.
As the curator of the Gifford Carr story, Kathleen oversees the brand experience and strategy as Director of Marketing. A self-proclaimed marketing nerd at heart, she loves building out brand strategies with the wide variety of insurance solutions, partners, communities, and industries we work with. With each campaign, Kathleen strives to make the language of insurance more accessible, while demonstrating the impact of a Gifford Carr broker as an advisor on your team.
Kathleen is a supporting partner of Women Get On Board (WGOB), a leading member-based company that connects, promotes, and empowers women to corporate boards. She most recently joined the board of the Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association (GOHBA), taking on the role of Sales and Marketing Committee chair for 2023-2025.
Outside of work, you’ll find Kathleen relishing in the cottage life in the summers or hitting the slopes once the snow falls and as much as she can, traveling and taking in new adventures to inspire outside-the-box ideas on campaigns!
