Matthew and Marissa Carr joined local leaders to form team SENSations at 24h Tremblant raising funds, and skiing around the clock, raising over 5 million dollars in support of CHEO, le Fondation Charles-Bruneau, and Fondation Tremblant. The ultimate goal? Children's well-being.

On World Cancer Day, February 05, we announced the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation (ORCF) was our charity of choice for 2022. We are proud to share that on September 22, 2022, we presented Michael Maidment, CEO of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, and his team with a $28,328 donation supporting the local community cancer hub and game-changing research being done here – in our hometown. Thank you to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation for all you do to help beat cancer alongside our team, past and present, who have and are currently fighting cancer. 

With the leaves changing, boats coming out of the water and seasonal cottages and camps getting winterized we are getting set for another change in seasons. A season that reminds us to be grateful, especially as we get set to celebrate this long weekend. Thank you for your ongoing loyalty and support, we are genuinely proud to be on your team.

May long weekend is typically the (unofficial) official kick-off to summer in Ontario. The storm that blew through Ontario really took the wind out of our plans, delaying the start of summer activities. Aside from the storm, there are many highlights and newsworthy mentions for me to include in this summer newsletter.

Andrew Emmans joins Gifford Carr Insurance Group as Head of Business Development. Following an entrepreneurial career of nearly two decades, Emmans will be responsible for identifying and expanding into new areas of opportunity and preserving Gifford Carr's core values while building new relationships both within Gifford Carr and the communities serve.
