Spring Forward! With warmer weather just around the corner and the ease in restrictions in Ontario as of March 01, we are seeing more businesses reopening and welcoming the community. And we love to see it. It’s been a long winter for everyone.
With the spring season comes spring cleaning. It also marks the start of peak season for many industries (marine, landscaping, construction, and realty to name a few) making it an ideal time to review your insurance policy(ies). I would like to bring to your attention the significant increase in building costs. Connect with our team and confirm your coverage is up to date for your current needs and business operations.
In our last newsletter, we covered cyber insurance. We continue to see it as an important conversation for all businesses and homeowners. As our lives become more digital, so does the need to protect them. I encourage you to connect with one of our trusted advisors and review the coverage you have.
On February 04th, world cancer day, we announced our corporate charity of choice for 2022, the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation (ORCF). With the impact on our team past and present, for those who have and are currently fighting, along with the involvement of our leadership team in local fundraising initiatives, it goes without saying this cause is near and dear to our hearts. To kick off our charitable initiatives we welcomed Paula Muldoon, VP of Development and Community Engagement from ORCF for a (virtual) Coffee + Conversations. Our team was able to get to know more about what the foundation is all about. And boy, if you haven’t seen their video, is it ever impactful. (I may have tagged the event coffee, conversations, and Kleenex).
On a final note, we are proud to share the relocation of two offices. The Ottawa East and North Bay branches moved to new office spaces in anticipation of our planned growth. As we continue to expand, we remain committed to the fundamental pillars of our business; Trust, Connect and Protect.
