Maintaining Momentum: Q2 Updates and Our Commitment to You

After what feels like a late start to the season, summer has arrived, bringing with it warm temperatures that have many Canadians seeking ways to stay cool. As the Canada Day long weekend kicked summer into full swing, many are enjoying time on the water and at the cottage. With many Canadians seeking relaxation and hitting the open waters on boats, jet skis, and more, our priority is helping you and your loved ones enjoy the season safely and responsibly.

If you’re heading out on the waters this summer, stay safe and make the most of your time with our Essential Watercraft Tips—your trusted guide to navigating the waves responsibly.

I’m proud to share an insight into our team’s unwavering commitment to our clients. As your broker, our role is to help you protect what matters most and even more importantly, be there when it matters most. It’s no secret that insurance claims are stressful. There’s damage, disruption, and financial pressure. While your policy is designed to help get you back on track and leave claims in the rearview mirror, sometimes the road to getting there isn’t as smooth as it should be.

As you may have heard, Gifford Carr has brought a new level of service to our clients in house.  With the insurance companies struggling to keep up and service clients who have had a claim, we are taking charge with a dedicated expert to help advocate when you need it most.  Jane O’Shaughnessy has joined our team and has started to help clients immediately.  If you feel a claim has or is going sideways please let us know right away and we will work to get things sorted out quickly.

With summer in full swing, our team has been eager to get out of the office and embrace our community and each other. The second quarter has been a shining example of what it means to support our clients and be active members of the communities we serve.

This summer, our team has been out in full force, contributing to charitable events, like Ottawa’s Hockey Helps the Homeless tournament, where we helped raise $70,000 for the community. This is only one example of the local initiatives we participated in that embody the core values we hold dear. A standout moment of Q2 is always our professional development conference, where we celebrated the fifth annual GC Connect in June. From Professional Development to Team Building to our Service Award Gala it was a true testament to the importance of investing in connection and furthering our development as a team.

As we look toward the summer and second half of the year, we still have so much to look forward to, including some innovative projects we’ve been developing behind the scenes for over a year. I’m very excited to unveil these to you in the coming months and for you to enjoy an even better experience when working with us.

On behalf of myself and #TeamGC, wishing you an enjoyable and safe start to the summer season. I look forward to what’s to come in the second half of the year.

Matt
