Bringing over 18 years of experience to her position as Vice President at Gifford Carr Insurance Group, Monica is an energetic and passionate leader who enjoys building relationships with colleagues, industry partners, and clients. She is driven daily to help clients investigate the ideal insurance options to protect the assets they have worked so hard for.
In her capacity as Vice President at Gifford Carr, Monica is responsible for leading our Commercial and Personal Lines teams while managing commercial accounts, and assisting with the claims process. Monica is constantly building relationships with insurer partners from coast to coast to connect the Gifford Carr team with coverage solutions and options nationwide, providing a breadth of choice to our clients.
Monica is an active member of the wider insurance community where she regularly volunteers her time. Past Board Member of the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO), after having served as President of the Young Brokers Council and the local affiliate, Sault Insurance Brokers Association. Monica has been recognized for her contributions in the business community; awarded by ATHENA International recognizing her professional excellence, service to the community, and her commitment to assisting women attain their professional goals and the first ever recipient of the IBAO Young Broker Award. But Monica’s community engagement doesn’t stop there, she is the past President of the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce, and former Director of the Sault Ste. Marie Community Development Board, in addition to many other boards.
When Monica slips away from the office you’ll find her spending time with family and friends, and depending on the season, she’ll either be hitting the slopes or enjoying a hike.
