An authentic & collaborative leader, Rick has almost 25 years of experience in developing people, leading strategically, and delivering results in evolving organizations. Before joining Gifford Carr, Rick held several leadership roles across various organizations including as a Consultant, Area Director, Appointee from the Province of Ontario and as President of his own event and concert management firm.
Always thinking of the big picture, Rick has a strong belief in the grassroots power of advice and the need for the products and services that the financial services industry offers. Rick is seen as an expert for business consulting, but also has broad knowledge of insurance and wealth solutions, business management, marketing, and practice development. He holds both insurance and investment licensing where he blends consulting and business knowledge with financial services solutions.
Passionate about community, Rick is a leader with Ottawa’s Board of Trade, and is active with the Ontario Chamber for Advocacy. He sits on many charitable boards, is the President for the local chapter of the Financial Advisors Association (Advocis), and is involved in politics at all three levels of government. In 2017, Rick was recognized by the Governor General for his volunteer efforts in the community, receiving the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteerism in Canada.
