A Bright Start to 2024 | Message from the President

I’m excited to kick off 2024 and share the continued progress and plans shaping the future of Gifford Carr. We’re stepping into this year with a renewed focus on growth, reinforced by our recent achievements and upcoming endeavours.   

In Q3, we announced our business would be expanding and opening a new division: Gifford Carr Benefits and Planning. This expansion broadens our array of services to include life insurance, health benefits, financial planning, and more, tailored to meet both individual and corporate needs. The ability for Gifford Carr to be your one-stop risk advisor was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up, and one we hope you will take advantage of.   

In the final quarter of 2023, we welcomed six new people to Gifford Carr in various departments, bolstering our capability to provide best-in-class client services. Additionally, we welcomed team members back to our newly renovated head office in Kanata. As we continue to grow, we have implemented an appointment-only policy at our offices. This change ensures the utmost convenience and personalized attention for our clients during their visits. We look forward to serving you in this more focused and efficient manner. Finally, in November, we acquired W.W. Dopson Limited, a well-established brokerage in Sudbury, Ontario. This acquisition strengthens our presence and reaffirms our commitment to serving the regions we operate in. We look forward to continuing to grow our roots in Sudbury and the surrounding area.
