It's official: we have entered the final quarter of 2023. I am continually proud of our team, who are actively involved in the local community, providing resources and support to business owners, charities, and education to our valued clients this past quarter.

Much like the summer, we are already through the second quarter and halfway through the year. From our third annual GC Connect event, to community involvement and more, it's been a busy second quarter for the team at Gifford Carr.

To mark the beginning of this partnership, Gifford Carr and Gore Mutual recently participated in the annual tree-planting event, A&M Grow with Kivi, on June 08, 2023. Gifford Carr and Gore Mutal planted nearly 5000 trees in Kivi Park. The afternoon supported the collective commitment to environmental impact and preservation of our natural green space. The tree planting initiative not only contributed to the beautification of Kivi Park but also fostered a sense of environmental awareness and responsibility among all the participating volunteers!

And just like that, we are nearly through the first quarter of 2023. With spring now right around the corner and updated forecasts in the insurance market, we are hitting the ground running this year. From our corporate social responsibility framework, and national events to office renovations, and recruitment, it's been a busy first quarter for the team at Gifford Carr.

A personal thank you doesn’t get much better than the special evening Aiāna Restaurant Collective hosted for members of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation (ORCF) community who, through their support of the ORCF, are advancing cancer research and making sure those diagnosed with the potentially deadly disease get the practical and emotional help they need.

We've seen change as a constant this year. And the pace of change was swift, I cannot believe we are already well into the swing of the holiday season. We saw another shift in how we work as many office spaces reopened and welcomed their teammates to return, at least to a hybrid of remote and in-office work. As I reflect on the past year, there was a lot of change, both for me personally and for Gifford Carr. We made big decisions and even bigger moves to best set our team, clients, and our business here at Gifford Carr up for success.
